Cloudant
Bob studied mathematics at Michigan State University and computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for 13 years at IBM's Watson Research Center, on knowledge representation languages and description logics. He then went on to help build a medical terminology business around a description logic called Ontylog. After working as an independent consultant for five years, Bob became interested in Erlang and large distributed databases, so he joined Cloudant where he works on the core system.
